AGGIES FOR DALLAS VOLUNTEER EVENT
Join Aggies for Dallas volunteers as we make sandwiches for SoupMobile, a non-profit mobile soup kitchen feeding and sheltering the homeless in the Dallas area.
SoupMobile is based out of Deep Ellum and serves more than 500 meals on a typical day.
Last months event with Soupmobile was a "souper" success! We had more than 20 Aggies (along with their friends & families) help set records for both the number of volunteers in attendance at a Sandwiches for Soupmobile event, and the number of sandwiches made (1,703) in one day! Please join the Aggies for Dallas volunteer group as we make sandwiches for the Soupmobile again this month.
Our goal is again to make 1,000 sandwiches (two days worth); sandwich making supplies will be provided. Though if you would like bring any of the following as a donation to the SoupMobile, they can always use more bread, lunch meat (bologna or whatever is on sale), sliced cheese, mustard, and zip top sandwich bags. However, the most important gift is yourself, and bringing sandwich making items is completely optional.
If you are interested in this volunteer project or learning more about Aggies for Dallas, please contact Thomas Marek ’91 at Thomas.Marek@ymail.com. And if you would like to contribute any of the above items, please state what you will be bringing to this event in your email to Thomas in order to help us facilitate our overall plan.
Learn more about the SoupMobile at: www.soupmobile.org

www.aggieroundtable.com
Meeting Schedule:
6:30 AM: Pre-meeting business networking:
7:00 AM: Meeting called to order, introductions, and speaker presentation;
8:00 AM: Meeting officially ends and extended business networking commences;

The DAMC Business Roundtable offers an opportunity for Aggie former students to network and share leads on potential prospects/clients. The Roundtable began in the Fall of 1993; and through the guidance of its early directors, has blossomed into untold amounts of revenue for companies led by Aggies.
The cost is $5.00 per person per meeting and net proceeds help fund Dallas A&M Club scholarships for students from the area who want to attend Texas A&M University.
This group serves two primary missions:
1. Facilitate business networking among Aggies;
2. Help those Ags in transition find new jobs.
At every meeting Aggies can display their business cards, brochures, and other literature on a table at the front of the meeting area designated for that purpose. Each participant receives the opportunity to tell the group who they are, what they do, and what an ideal client for them might be. After self introductions, the group gets to hear from a special guest speakers who have been previously scheduled to address the group at length (10-20 minutes).
Upon the conclusion of the formal meeting, Aggies are encouraged to mingle and network on an informal basis. The Roundtable also compiles a directory of the participants. This directory includes name, title, company, address, various phone numbers, and a brief description of the Aggie’s business. There is a nominal charge for the directory to cover copy costs.
Come join us and bring plenty of business cards!
